President Tinubu Sacks Two Chief Executive Officers Hours after He Suspends Betta Edu
In a State House press release posted on his social media account, Ajuri Ngelale announced a significant development in the restructuring efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The release disclosed the dismissal of two Chief Executive Officers, marking a strategic move to reshape crucial government agencies with a focus on safeguarding the rights of Nigerian consumers and bolstering the contributions of growth-enabling institutions to the national economy.
The affected Chief Executive Officers are Mr. Alexander Ayoola Okoh, the Director-General/CEO of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), and Mr. Babatunde Irukera, who served as the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
