Nigerian gospel artist Aduke Ajayi, known as Aduke Gold, has passed away
The news of Aduke Gold’s passing was shared on social media by fellow artist Esther Igbekele, who honored her memory with the caption, “A general has fallen. RIP,” alongside a picture of Gold.
Having lost her parents at age four and faced with severe vertigo, Aduke Gold triumphed over adversity to become a notable figure in the gospel music scene.
Her hit single, “Nitori Ogo” (“Because of Glory”), from her acclaimed eight-track album, garnered widespread recognition.
Gold obtained a degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University and held several qualifications in Special Education, Aquaculture, and more.
Beyond music, she was dedicated to helping children with special needs, including those with autism, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia.
