Wike Issues Ultimatum To The Encroached On The Land Of Abuja Technology Village.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has given an ultimatum to those who have unlawfully erected structures at the Abuja Technology Village to relocate immediately or face legal consequences.
On Monday, while inspecting the site in Pyakasa, Abuja, along with the Science and Technology Minister, Uche Nnaji, Wike made it clear that the Federal Government had already reached a settlement with the illegal occupants back in 2015 and instructed them to move out.
However, instead of complying, the number of houses increased, which triggered the need for the government to take drastic measures to reinforce its message.
The Minister of Science and Technology emphasized that the Abuja Technology Village is a crucial site for housing emerging technologies that the Federal Government is eager to adopt.
Hence, it is of utmost importance to demarcate the area to attract investors and achieve the government’s objectives.
