FG Celebrates With Namibia First Female President

The Nigeria Government has congratulated Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her historic victory as the first Female President of Namibia.
Nandi-Ndaitwah, who has served as Namibia’s Vice-President, emerged victorious in the recently-concluded national election.
Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Acting Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement that Nigeria hailed the Namibian electorate for their commitment to stability and democracy.
“Nigeria is ready to collaborate with Namibia to promote the mutual interests of our citizens,” the statement read, highlighting the shared history and values between the two countries.
Nandi-Ndaitwah’s election is being celebrated across the continent as a victory for gender equality and a step forward in increasing female representation in African leadership.
