Police Nab Two International Fugitives Wanted for Human Trafficking, Armed Robbery
The Nigeria Police Force has announced a major breakthrough in its fight against transnational organized crime with the arrest of two internationally wanted fugitives: Felix Omoregie, alias “Eghosa Johnson Omoregie,” and Okwudili Sabastine Ezeje.
Omoregie, a suspected ringleader of a human trafficking network, was wanted by Belgian authorities for trafficking young Nigerian women to Europe for sexual exploitation. He was convicted in absentia in 2021 for leading a criminal organization and fled to Nigeria.
The police revealed that his victims were subjected to voodoo rituals and psychological control, with handlers in France and Belgium remitting proceeds to him.
Incriminating materials, including documents related to a planned move to Canada, were found at his residence.
In a separate operation, INTERPOL NCB Abuja arrested Ezeje in Nsukka, Enugu State. He is accused by UAE authorities of orchestrating multiple armed robberies and drug-related crimes in Dubai and Sharjah while operating remotely from Nigeria. His targets included Dubai Mall, Jumeirah, and Jebel Ali Village.

The arrests followed intelligence collaboration between the Nigeria Police, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), and Dubai Police.
Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated the arrests send a strong message that “no matter how far criminals run, or how long they hide, justice will catch up with them.”
IGP Kayode Egbetokun praised the operatives for upholding Nigeria’s global law enforcement commitments and reaffirmed the Force’s resolve to combat organized crime through international cooperation.
