The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has revealed on his social media handle (formerly Twitter) that Nigeria has signed a new air transport agreement with another country. This agreement is called BASA, which stands for Bilateral Air Service Agreement. BASA allows designated airlines from both countries to operate commercial flights that cover the transportation of passengers and cargo. According to Keyamo, this agreement was signed during the ongoing International Civil Aviation Negotiation (ICAN) event organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
